Hi, I’m Colton.
In 2015, during a difficult battle with anxiety, I came to understand the power of asking for help. I was desperate for freedom, and with the guidance of a therapist, I found it.
My healing journey left me supremely interested in the study of mental wholeness. I set out to complete an undergraduate degree in Psychology, followed immediately by a Masters of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy.
Since then, I have completed a number of trainings for trauma treatment and relational health. I hope to be a key resource for clients seeking a more fulfilling relationship with themselves, others, and the world.
I offer individual counselling sessions in person and online, serving clients in Brentwood, Franklin, Nashville, and surrounding areas.
My trauma-focused approach to therapy involves discovering and processing painful moments that affect our patterns of relating to ourselves and the world. I strive to create a safe environment where we can explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion. Depending on your unique needs, I use the following approaches:
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Brainspotting
Somatic Exercises
Internal Family Systems
Mindfulness
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy
